So, instead of following my heart, I was lured away into corporate advertising and marketing for 14 years. I got a positive philosophic spin from that experience, though. The business world gave me a lot, including good business practices. In 1990, I took time off from the corporate world to do some painting. While working on a children's book, I began dabbling with clay again. "Leo" sprang forth from my hands like a gift from beyond. Paul Strauch (sounds like Strauss, but with a "K" at the end) Studio began as Conscious Designs in 1992. By 1993, our customers included galleries, fine gift stores and catalogues.
